All results generated by our tools — including cost estimates, size calculations, diagnostic results, and checklists — are estimates only. They are not quotes, bids, or professional assessments. Actual costs and requirements will vary based on your specific location, home condition, material choices, local labor rates, permits, and contractor pricing.

5.2 Not Professional Advice

Nothing on AskHomeFix constitutes professional roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, solar, pest control, landscaping, arboricultural, or any other licensed trade advice. Always consult a licensed professional before making any home improvement decisions.

5.3 Data Currency

We strive to keep our cost data current, but material prices, labor rates, and regulatory requirements change frequently. We do not guarantee that tool results reflect current market conditions in your specific area.

6. Relationship with Contractors

6.1 We Are a Lead Generation Service

AskHomeFix is a lead generation and referral platform. When you submit a quote request, we connect you with one or more independent, third-party contractors in your area. AskHomeFix is not a contractor and does not perform any home services.

6.2 Independent Contractors

Contractors connected through AskHomeFix are independent businesses, not employees, agents, or partners of AskHomeFix. We do not control their pricing, availability, workmanship, licensing status, or conduct.

6.3 Contractor Vetting

While we make reasonable efforts to work with reputable contractors, we cannot guarantee that every contractor in our network is licensed, insured, or suitable for your specific project. You are solely responsible for verifying a contractor's credentials, references, and insurance before hiring them.

6.4 No Responsibility for Contractor Work

AskHomeFix is not responsible or liable for any work performed by contractors, including defective workmanship, property damage, personal injury, disputes over payment, or failure to complete a project. Any contract for services is solely between you and the contractor.

6.5 No Guarantee of Quotes

Submission of a quote request does not guarantee that you will receive a response from a contractor. Contractor availability varies by region and service type.

7. Lead Submissions & Contact Forms

When you submit a lead request or contact form, you represent that:

• All information you provide is accurate, complete, and truthful.
• You are the homeowner or have authority to authorize work on the property.
• You genuinely intend to explore home service options for the property described.
• You consent to being contacted by AskHomeFix and/or matched contractors via phone, email, or text message in connection with your request.

By submitting a form, you consent to our Privacy Policy and authorize us to share your submitted information with relevant local contractors.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Content

All content on AskHomeFix — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, tool designs, calculators, blog articles, images, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript code — is the property of AskHomeFix and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

8.2 Limited License

16. Dispute Resolution

Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to first contact us at admin@askhomefix.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will try to resolve the dispute within 30 days of receiving your notice.

16.2 Binding Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.

16.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
